Kenya airways is based in Nairobi.


2013 WB fleet update

In 2006 Kenya Airways ordered 6 Boeing 787 Dreamliners to replace the 6 Boeing 767-300ER. They had an extensive African network (Cairo, ..) and connected Nairobi with Europe (London, Paris, Amsterdam) and a few cities in Asia (Istanbul, Dubai, Mumbai).

In 2005 Kenya Airways used 3 Boeing 777-200ER and 6 Boeing 767-300ER and was changing older Boeing 737 with Next Generation 737, like the Boeing 737-800.

In 2004 the fleet of Kenya Airways consisted of 5 Boeing 767-300ER. They also had 11 Boeing 737 of which 4 were Boeing 737-700, 4 Boeing 737-300 and 3 boeing 737-200. And they had 2 Saab 340.

Kenya Airways was the leading regional carrier to Africa in 2004 operating from its JKIA hub in Nairobi. Established in 1977, Kenya Airways underwent a commercialization and privatization process in 1996, attracting a strategic partnership with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines to become Africa's first privately privatised flag carrier.
